Statement
Disclaimer
What this practice is, what it is not, and how to read what you find here. The short version: everything on this site is information, offered in good faith, and it is not a substitute for advice from someone who knows your situation.
Effective date: September 20, 2026.
What this site is for
This site is published by Technical Humanist LLC, a Georgia limited liability company. It exists to share how I think about AI readiness, workflow design, data foundations, governance, human oversight, and AI search visibility — and to let you find out whether working together makes sense.
Everything here is offered for information and education. By using the site you agree to this disclaimer. You need to be at least 18 years old to use it.
What I am not
I am an AI strategy and implementation consultant. That is the whole of it.
I am not:
- An attorney, and nothing here is legal advice — including anything I write about AI governance, regulation, policy, or compliance.
- A CPA, accountant, or tax advisor.
- A licensed financial or investment advisor.
- A licensed HR or employment professional — which matters most around AI in hiring, performance, and workforce decisions, where employment law and anti-discrimination rules apply.
- Privacy counsel or a Data Protection Officer, even where I write about privacy-safe AI data.
- A certified security auditor, assessor, or penetration tester.
Where a question belongs to one of those professions, take it to someone licensed in that field in the place you live or work. If the line is unclear during an engagement, I will say so rather than guess.
My assessments are not audits
This one matters enough to say on its own.
The AI Foundation Diagnostic, the AI Readiness Snapshot, the AI Search Visibility Assessment, and every other assessment, review, scorecard, or tool offered on this site are advisory work. They reflect my professional judgment, formed from what I was shown and told during a defined piece of work.
None of them is an audit, an independent assurance engagement, a certification, an attestation, an accreditation, or a conformity assessment. None of them certifies or demonstrates compliance with ISO/IEC 42001, the NIST AI Risk Management Framework, the EU AI Act, SOC 2, HIPAA, GDPR, or any other standard, framework, or law.
Please do not present my findings to a regulator, auditor, customer, insurer, or board as though they carried assurance weight. They do not, and saying otherwise could cause you real problems. If you need an audit or a certification, you need an accredited body, and I am happy to say so in writing.
The Snapshot in particular is a free five-question self-assessment that scores your own answers. It is a conversation starter, not a measurement of your organisation.
Information is not advice for your situation
Field Notes, Field Guides, worksheets, checklists, templates, and everything else published here are written for a general audience. They do not know your systems, your data, your regulatory position, your contracts, or your people.
Reading this site does not create a consulting relationship between us. That starts with a signed agreement, not a download.
Accuracy, and how fast this field moves
I work to keep this site correct and current. I cannot guarantee that it is. AI tooling, vendor behaviour, model capability, and the rules around all three change faster than any website gets updated, and some of what is written here will be out of date before I notice.
Check anything you plan to rely on, especially where the decision is expensive or hard to undo. If you find something here that is wrong, please tell me — I would rather fix it than leave it standing.
Results, testimonials, and money
Client quotes on this site are real and are published with the client’s organisation and identity withheld. They describe what happened in one engagement, under that client’s conditions. They are examples, not predictions, and they are not a promise that you will get the same result.
Where this site refers to efficiency gains, hours recovered, cost savings, revenue, visibility, or any other outcome, treat those as illustrations of what has been possible, not as guarantees of what you will achieve. There is no guarantee that past results repeat.
What you get out of this work depends on your situation, your decisions, your team, and the effort you put in. I am not liable for the success or failure of your business, your AI programme, or any decision you make after reading something here.
Other companies, tools, and links
I name tools, platforms, and vendors throughout this site, sometimes favourably. None of that is an endorsement, and none of it is paid.
I use no affiliate links and publish no sponsored posts. Nothing on this site earns me a commission or a referral fee. If that ever changes, I will disclose it clearly on the page where it applies, not only here.
Evaluate any tool or vendor yourself before adopting it. Links to other sites are provided for convenience; I do not control them and I am not responsible for their content, their claims, or how they handle your information.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, I disclaim liability for your use of this site and its content. Use it at your own risk, after making your own assessment. The full limitation of liability, including the cap on what I can be liable for, is in the Terms & Conditions.
The other two pages
The Terms & Conditions set out the rules for using this site and the terms that apply if you buy something. Privacy explains what is collected, why, how long it is kept, and how to ask for access, correction, or deletion.
